Following several reports of US visa scam in Jamaica, US embassy in Kingston has revealed its collaboration with the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) in order to apprehend the perpetrators and ultimately put an end to the act. In a release by the US embassy on April 3, it's Overseas Criminal Investigations (OCI) Division conducted an investigation which led to the arrest of Eric George Miller by JCF officer. According to the investigation, Miller of Olympic Gardens was accused of duping people under false pretense following reports from several Jamaicans that Miller defrauded them in their attempt to obtain US visa. Miller received a huge sum ranging from $75,000 to $160,000 from each Jamaicans in question after he promised them H2B visa as well as opportunities to work in the US. The eight Jamaicans after that went to the US embassy as informed by Miller only to discover no visa appointments have been scheduled for them and the accused was not on ground to render assistance neither was he answering his calls.
