Three people, who were operating a visa consultancy in the Coimbatore, were jailed for forging papers for the USA visa appellants. The arrest was made following the US consulate general recognized an applicant’s fake papers and traced it back to the visa consulting company.
Police recognized the arrested as Prosothlin T and Arunkumar C from BK Pudur and N Nivesh from Pillayarpuram. The three was running the visa consultancy services named as Smart Dart International located in Kuniamuthur.
On 15 July 2019, the Sean Brennan, an assistant regional security officer at US consulate general’s, complained with the Sumit Sharan who is city a police commissioner, stating the consultancy firm was a “false document vendor.” “It makes false documents for the US non-immigrant B1/B2 visa appellants and visitors for pleasure or business. Many applicants have recognized Smart Dart International as the source for false sponsorship document packages, he stated in his complaint.
Brennan told while each appellant showed that the goal of the visit was either to attend conferences or business; in reality, they were preparing to stay there for employment. The company instructed the candidates on how to perform visa fraud.
On 23 May 2019, he told another appellant, Vyshakh Unnikrishnan who is from Kodangallur in the state of Kerala, had provided forged documents showing he aspired to visit the US to meet a person named Vasanth Ghosh. He also allowed, and it was Smart Dart International that supported him with false documents.
Brennan has asked the police to take action upon the Smart Dart International consultancy service and share the details that would throw light on their mode of operation.
