UK Set to Deport Rapist Somali Immigrant

The UK is set to reprocess the deportation of a Somalia man, who partook in the gang rape of a teenage girl in North London, subsequent to a failed first attempt.

Yaqub Ahmed had served nine years jail term in the UK for the gang rape of a teenage girl (who is now in her late twenties) in a North London flat and was to be deported to Somalia via a Turkish Airlines flight. As the flight, headed for Istanbul, was getting ready to take off, Ahmed staged a drama that saw his deportation halted by the Home Office.

Ignorant Holidaymakers

According to a video, Ahmed was seen shouting and resisting his deportation. They are separating me from my family, he screamed, which led fellow passengers who had no clue of the situation to stage a protest that Ahmed be taken off their flight and they got their wish as officials had to abort the deportation mission, to Ahmed’s temporary relief.

Following the abortion of the deportation process, officials of Home Office tagged Ahmed with an electronic tag before releasing him on bail.

According to detailed reports, another deportation order will be processed sooner than later regarding the convicted gang rapist. He is presently in a detention center, Yarl’s Wood center close to Bedford or Colnbrook Immigration Removal Centre near Heathrow Airport, from where he would be flown to Somalia on a government charter flight.

While speaking about the interrupted deportation, the victim expressed bemusement at the interference of justice by the ignorant holidaymakers on board the Turkish Airlines flight and wondered how they could defend a man they knew nothing about his situation.

She said she had waited for the deportation for so long, but the passengers stopped a process that was making her feel a little bit safer. She looks forward to the final removal of the convicted immigrant to Somalia as a proof of commitment to safety in the country.
