Gao Banned

Actor Gao Yunxiang paid A$3 million ($2.1 million) as bail surety but not without conditions according to Australian media. He is mandated to wear an electronic bracelet as well as placed under a nightly curfew and banned from going within 100 meters of Sydney airport. His producer, on the other hand, remains in custody as he was not granted bail. The identity of the complainant was not revealed as laws in Australia do not allow public identification of sex crimes complainants. The trial is to begin on October 21 with a pretrial hearing set for September 6.
