Four Myanmar citizens were arrested on 29 July 2019 from Shamli district for staying illegally in India, while there were also three madrassa teachers who were also carried into custody for supposedly sheltering them, police told.
Ajay Kumar, who is a Superintendent of Police for Shamli, told the four Myanmar citizens were residing in the nation without a valid visa. They had also arranged to get fraudulent Indian identity papers like Aadhaar card and passport, which is an illegal activity performed by those four citizens.
Superintendent of Police told that the four immigrants were Nauman, Rizwan Abdul Majid and Furqan were residing illegally in the nation from the preceding two years and were arrested on today that is 29 July 2019 based on inputs from the intelligence.
The three madrassa teachers were Hanifullah, Kari Ashraf Husain, and Wasif was also arrested for supposedly sheltering to the four Myanmar citizens, the Shamli police chief stated in the press meet.
Police told that including the three madrassa teachers there were seven people have been taken into the custody below the applicable sections of the Foreigners Act and the Penal Code of India, and are being interrogated.
