Illegitimate Immigrant Nabbed Working At Wrexham Prison

An illegitimate immigrant who was nabbed while working in the new super jail in Wales has been jailed for thirty weeks.

An individual from Manchester has confessed that he possessed two fake Latvian driving licenses as identification documents.

Mold Crown Court heard that he got a year of visa to do the work in the UK in the year 2005, but resided even after it expired.

According to the Judge,  the irony is that having assisted for building a prison the accused has ended up as a prisoner in the one.

Officers of Immigration enforcement had raided the location of the latest 212 million pounds worth Berwyn Prison on 15thApril.

Latvia had joined the EU in the year 2014, so the drivers license were to be utilised for showing  that the accused can work lawfully in the country.

Prosecutor told that she does not set up whether the defendant had been served with extradition documents and will leave it to the immigration authorities.

The accused lawyer told in the defence that his client left Ukraine due to poverty, worked lawfully for a year at a Hotel in Cumbria under a visa, but when that expired he made inquiries about an extension of it and was told that it was not likely to happen.

Ukraine conditions have not enhanced yet so he decided to stay in the UK.
